This role offers the opportunity to build a high-impact reconstructive practice focused on breast cancer and medically necessary breast reconstruction, while also maintaining a general plastic and cosmetic surgery practice within a physician-led health system committed to quality, access, and long-term program growth.Frederick is a community of approximately 290,000 and is located less than 1-hour from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Frederick offers both urban and suburban living as well as a variety of attractions, parks, recreational facilities, wineries, breweries, antique shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.About the RoleThe surgeon will provide advanced breast reconstruction services for patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer, as well as benign, medically necessary breast procedures, including breast reduction and symmetry surgery. The practice is fully integrated with breast surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and imaging, ensuring seamless, patient-centered care.Expertise in DIEP or other free-flap techniques is not required; however, strong proficiency in implant-based reconstruction, oncoplastic techniques, and common reconstructive approaches are essential.
