The role of the faculty in CPS is to facilitate the learning process for students through timely and effective instruction and communication. Instructors also serve as mentors, sharing their expertise to help guide students and ensure they achieve their educational and professional goals. Faculty foster student success and retention by creating a positive educational environment, allowing students to gain the maximum benefit from their coursework.Pay range is $1,069-$3,775 per semester based on course type and enrollment.Responsibilities Guide students through their educational experience while upholding and adhering to the CPS commitment to student successProvide timely response to student inquiries, within 24 hoursFacilitate class instruction by engaging in the online course portal a minimum of 5 times per weekHost a minimum of one hour of virtual office hours per weekPost weekly announcements to enhance course contentDemonstrate excellent collaborative and communication skillsQualifications The ideal candidate has experience teaching online in an educational setting, has demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and assessment, and has a passion for teaching Nutrition scienceMaster's degree in Nutrition or related field and current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) LicensureA desire to motivate and encourage students in academic and professional settingsExpertise teaching online and the desire to learn and apply new technological approaches to educationExperience using the Brightspace/D2L Learning Management systemExperience in teaching research methods and statistics preferredEEO Statement Summary Consistent with federal and state law and University policy, the University of New England is committed to the fundamental concept of equal opportunity for all of the members of the University community.
