In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact by supporting our EHS Site Champions, driving behavior-based safety initiatives, and maintaining environmental compliance with ISO 14001 standards. This position reports on-site to the AMSOIL Center located in Superior, Wisconsin.Core Responsibilities: Safety Program Development, Implementation, and Culture BuildingDevelop, implement, and maintain AMSOIL corporate safety programs, including hazard communication, forklift safety, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and other OSHA compliance programsConduct job hazard analyses and implement mitigation measuresTrack and report on safety work orders, ensuring timely resolution of safety concernsMaintain compliance reporting for OSHA and other regulatory bodiesConduct accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective action plansImplement, facilitate, promote, track, and trend behavior-based safety deploymentEngage employees at all levels to enhance safety awareness and accountabilitySupport and mentor EHS Site Champions in manufacturing and distribution centers, ensuring alignment with AMSOIL safety objectivesFacilitate and support safety committee objectives and meetingsAudits, Inspections, Compliance, and ReportingConduct facility, equipment, and operational inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazardsPerform safety audits to ensure compliance with AMSOIL safety programs and regulatory requirementsAnalyze accident and incident reports for trends and recommend corrective actionsSupport industrial hygiene initiatives and improvements to work environmentsComplete OSHA and workers' compensation reporting and recordkeeping requirementsPerform internal audits to maintain safety and environmental compliance in accordance with ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 and business objectivesDevelop reports to support quarterly EMS progress updates and other data as neededTraining and CommunicationDevelop and facilitate safety and environmental training to ensure employee awareness and compliance with AMSOIL policiesCreate and distribute safety materials to enhance understanding and engagementTrain, mentor, and provide subject matter expertise for EHS Site Champions at distribution centers and manufacturing sites Environmental Compliance and Support:Ensure AMSOIL's Environmental Management System (EMS) remains compliant with ISO 14001 standardsSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of AMSOIL's ISO 14001 EMS initiativesPerform environmental inspections, drills, and audits in compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsGather data to manage the greenhouse gas inventory as part of AMSOIL's carbon-neutral initiativesSupport the collection and reporting of Environmental and Safety data for EcoVadis (ESG) complianceMaintain EMS and safety corrective action records, and enter related work orders in JDEContinuous Improvement and Process Effectiveness:Assist in internal audits and reporting related to ISO 14001 (EMS)Support initiatives for continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety practicesAssist in quantitative and qualitative analysis of process effectiveness for EHS-related programsMaintain documentation and analyze process effectiveness to enhance compliance and performancePosition Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, Engineering or related fieldsThree or more years of experience in an environmental, health and safety-focused positionOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the jobKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Performing safety inspectionsOSHA safety standardsCommunicate technical information to non-technical individualsGather data, compile information, and prepare reportsInvestigate and analyze information and draw conclusionsAbility to develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and protocolsKnowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or proceduresSkill in developing safety procedures and protocols.Knowledge of the principles of industrial hygieneAbility to work effectively with diverse populationsAbility to travel frequently between local officesOther Details: Pay type - SalaryBenefits: Paid time off and paid holidays each year Employee bonus program401(k) with company match Paid life, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance Competitive health benefits Health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) options Affordable group dental, vision, critical illness, and accident insurance Employee discount on productCorporate gym membershipIf you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, please email: humanresources@ Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled AMSOIL is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
