An established healthcare organization is seeking a Retail / Chronic Care Staff Pharmacist to support a new and dynamic Chronic Illness & Pain Management Pharmacy located on-site at their facility. This contract-to-hire opportunity is based in Red Oak, Iowa, approximately one hour from Omaha, NE, and offers a day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a collaborative clinical environment and is eager to help build and shape specialized pharmacy services from the ground up. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and launch of the Chronic Care/Pain Management Pharmacy Provide exceptional outpatient and retail pharmacy services Collaborate closely with providers and care teams to optimize medication therapies Deliver patient counseling focused on chronic disease management Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards Participate in workflow optimization to enhance operational efficiency Qualifications: Active Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure Experience in Retail and/or Outpatient Pharmacy is required Ambulatory Care experience is strongly preferred Board Certification in Ambulatory Care (BCACP) is highly preferred Clinical expertise in chronic illness and pain management is a strong plus Comfort and adaptability to work in a rural or small-town environment Local candidates or those willing to relocate for long-term growth are encouraged to apply Technology Experience: Cerner ScriptPro This contract-to-hire position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in chronic care pharmacy services while contributing to a growing program dedicated to improving patient lives.
