Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week acute care assignment working a Fri/Sat/Sun day shift schedule.Job Details• Acute care hospital setting with a CT/Radiology department consisting of 1 X-ray room, 1 portable X-ray unit, and 1 CT machine,• Mixed adult and pediatric patient population,• Common studies include CT, CTAs, and portable X-rays,• Will cover ER, inpatient, and occasional outpatient areas,• Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS,• Equipment includes Siemens Multix X-ray room with Canon Cassette and Software, Siemens Mobilett Elara Max Portable, and Siemens Somatom GoUP CT with Bracco Injector,• 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM,• Orientation consists of 1 week of department-specific training,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience,• Active ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT CT certification not required but advanced knowledge of all CT exams is expected,• Active BLS certification required,• Must be a certified X-ray technologist with hands-on CT experience,• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted,• Active certifications must be current at time of consideration; pending certifications will not be accepted,• Driver's license required for consideration and will be used to verify candidate's permanent address,• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility,Additional Information• Candidate will work independently on shift, with ER and ancillary staff available for support; the department is known for strong communication and teamwork,• No radiologist or radiology supervisor/lead tech on shift,• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to remove nails may result to contract termination,• Candidates who have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered,• Holiday coverage is handled by permanent department staff,• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submission
