We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Current state license in good standing with the State License Board. OH license preferred; KY license preferred.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.One year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting. Experience providing intensive respiratory care, mechanical ventilation management, and ventilator setup required.Demonstrated experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube management, suctioning (oral, nasal, tracheal), and arterial puncture for blood gas sampling.Familiarity with cardiopulmonary procedures including 12-lead EKG acquisition, basic arrhythmia recognition, pulmonary function testing (NIF, VC), and assisting with bronchoscopy or chest tube procedures.Ability to perform oximetry and capnography monitoring, review chest x-rays for therapy decisions, and operate a variety of oxygen delivery, aerosol, and nebulizer devices.BLS certification required.
