By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees on topics such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response.Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal procedures.Maintain accurate EHS records, prepare regulatory reports, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Implement and maintain EHS management systems and programs to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.Recommended QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.3-5 years of EHS experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment.Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific environmental and safety regulations.Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems.Proven ability to conduct EHS training, incident investigations, risk assessments, and internal audits.Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Bonus QualificationsCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.Experience with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).Background in Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.Certified instructor for First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPER, or other relevant EHS training.Experience conducting EHS audits or participating in Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP).Job Titles That Should ApplyEnvironmental Health & Safety Specialist, EHS Specialist, Safety Specialist, Health and Safety Specialist, HSE Specialist, Environmental Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety Specialist, Safety Officer, Industrial Hygienist, Workplace Safety Coordinator, Safety AdvisorWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
