About the Practice A well-established private anesthesia group in Brooklyn, New York , is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist for both a Staff Position and a Directorship Position . The practice is dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient anesthesia care primarily for Ophthalmology and Gastrointestinal (GI) procedures in a professional outpatient setting. Opportunity Immediate full-time Anesthesiologist job openings are available, offering candidates the choice between a Staff Position and a Directorship role. Both positions offer an exceptional lifestyle with a fixed, full-time schedule: No call, no nights, or weekends! Case Mix: Exclusively Ophthalmology and GI cases. Eye blocks are not required. Staff Position: Focus purely on clinical provision and patient care. Directorship Position: Involves clinical duties plus leadership responsibilities , overseeing anesthesia services, quality control, and operational efficiency within the practice's GI/Ophthalmology sites. Responsibilities Clinical Care: Provide and manage anesthesia (Monitored Anesthesia Care/MAC and general) for patients undergoing routine Ophthalmology and GI procedures. Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and manage post-anesthesia care. Leadership (Director Only): Oversee and manage all anesthesia services, develop protocols, and optimize patient flow and quality assurance. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Collaborate effectively with surgeons/physicians, nurses, and other surgical staff. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology. Current unrestricted medical license in New York (or eligibility for licensure). Strong clinical skills and experience managing anesthesia for outpatient cases, particularly GI and Ophthalmology. Prior leadership or administrative experience is highly desirable for the Directorship role. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Compensation and Benefits Staff Anesthesiologist Salary (W-2): $450,000 - $500,000 annually. Director Salary (W-2): $550,000 - $600,000 annually. Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, with no call, nights, or weekends . Time Off: Generous six (6) weeks of paid vacation .
