Locations: Dye ElementaryTime: Monday thru Friday 1:00p.m. until 5:30 p.m.Supervisor: Enrichment Program SupervisorPayrate: $12.48 per hourCHILD CARE ASSISTANT'S RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist in planning and implementing daily activities under the direction/support of Kid's Connection supervisor. 2. Monitor safety of all children during play. Be able to account for all children at all times. 3. Interact and participate in activities with children. 4. Display and communicate a positive and fair attitude toward each child. 5. Take initiative to assist the supervisor as needed. 6. Serve daily snacks and assist with general housekeeping tasks. 7. Communicate any questions or concerns about the program or children with the Kid's Connection supervisor and/or Enrichment Program Supervisor (Michele Olney). 8. Speak with the Kid's Connection supervisor regarding concerns about a child's behavior. It is the responsibility of the supervisor to share information with the parent when necessary. 9. Be flexible and be able to take over an activity if the supervisor is called away.10. Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the district.11. Practice consistent and effective discipline as outlined in the policy of this handbook.12. Learn all children's names as quickly as possible.13. Have a clear understanding of program philosophy and policies.14. Professionalism - Staff members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. 15. Respect - staff members are expected to treat all children, parents/guardians, school staff and fellow program staff with consideration and respect at all times.16. Confidentiality - Staff members are expected to adhere to strict confidentiality standards, including a highly thoughtful approach to sharing of any information regarding a child, family, other staff person. Any questions regarding confidentiality, or appropriate response to a particular situation, should be discussed with the Enrichment Program Supervisor (Michele Olney) prior to taking action or responding to the situation.17.
