Recreation TherapistPer Diem Our client, a leading senior living facility located in Southern Westchester County, has engaged us to assist them in finding a dedicated and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join their outstanding care team. As a Recreation Therapist, you will help deliver engaging, therapeutic programming that brings joy, purpose, and connection to the residents and patients every day, while working collaboratively as a team member, embracing a high level of care, compassion and teamwork. Position Overview: Design and lead therapeutic recreation programs that support residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-beingFacilitate a wide range of activities including arts, music, fitness, intergenerational programming, and social eventsProvide individualized and group interventions aligned with care plans and resident interestsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, therapy, social work) to enhance resident outcomesEncourage participation and build meaningful relationships with residents and familiesDocument participation and progress in compliance with regulatory standardsSupport special events, outings, and innovative programming initiativesPosition Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field a plusCTRS certification (or eligibility) a plusExperience in a skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care setting strongly preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCreativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with older adultsFully vaccinated against COVID-19Why Work Here?
