Job specificationCandidate requirementsJob specification Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Critical Care Unit, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery for critically ill patients. Manage day-to-day operations of the Critical Care Unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards related to critical care services. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care for critically ill patients and improve clinical outcomes. Act as a key leader and responder during critical care emergencies, providing direction and support to the team. Candidate requirements Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license. A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification is required. A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including leadership experience, is required. Candidate must have experience leading and managing an ICU Department in an acute care setting. Strong and proven leadership skills are essential.
