inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in an industrial setting This role involves assessing workplace hazards recommending control measures and providing training to employees on safety protocols Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to Supports all team members above this position in conducting more complex building science andor industrial hygiene & safety assessmentsSupports all team members above this position in performing the preparation and collection of samples and data including setting up equipment and documenting observationsAnalyzes previous building science andor industrial hygiene & safety surveys to determine if additional sampling is required or to prepare scope of servicesIndependently performs field assessments where problems encountered are generally well understood and easily identified May direct project teams assigning tasks based on members skills and experience levelCollects environmental and personal samples for analysis and prepares samples for shipment to laboratory for analysisMaintains calibrates and operates building science and industrial hygiene instruments and equipmentCompiles and provides summary of analytical data as well as organizes data for reports and drafts full report with FindingsConclusions and RecommendationsAssists with implementing strategies IH standards administrative controls and personal protective equipment requirements that aim to control and minimize workplace hazardsPerforms air sampling noise level monitoring and other environmental testing activities that measure the concentration of pollutants or hazardous agents in the workplace and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standardsContributes to the development of education and training programs for workers and management regarding potential hazards safe work practices and the proper use of protective equipmentCollaborates with team members above this position to advise on less complex workplace incidents or complaints related to health hazards by investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrenceCollaborate with team members above this position and IH Technician levels below this position in various tasksAssists in basic management duties such as developing work scope and proposal budgetsStudies reference materials and participates in training and development activitiesUtilizes Microsoft applications and internal applicationssoftware programsMaintain working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulationsStay current with applicable regulatory knowledge and field industry trendsTravel to client sites including occasional overnight stays as neededCommunicate effectively with Atlas
