OverviewJob Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ophthalmology/Optometry Technician to support our providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have prior clinic experience, strong patient interaction skills, and a solid understanding of ophthalmic testing and workflows.Key Responsibilities:Perform pre-testing procedures including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, and other diagnostic tests as assignedObtain and accurately document patient medical historyIdentify and record the patient's chief complaint and reason for visitPrepare patients for examination and assist providers during exams and minor proceduresEducate patients on testing procedures, treatments, and follow-up instructions as directedMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)Ensure exam rooms and equipment are cleaned, stocked, and functioning properlyComply with all clinic policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulationsSkills and ExperienceQualifications:Prior ophthalmology or optometry clinic experience preferredKnowledge of ophthalmic terminology and testing proceduresAbility to obtain accurate patient histories and chief complaintsStrong communication and customer service skillsAttention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environmentCertification (COA, COT, or COMT) a plus but not required, depending on clinic needsWork Environment:Clinical setting with direct patient interactionRequires standing, walking, and assisting patients throughout the daySchedule & Compensation:Schedule: 8am-6pm Monday-Saturday$17 an hourBenefitsDon't miss this chance to enhance your experience in a production environment while enjoying competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Weekly pay$5 prescription drugs$5 doctor's visit copaysFree teledoctor serviceFree counseling servicesLife insurance includedVision insurance includedDental insurance includedVacation and holiday payScholarship Opportunities401(k) retirement planFree legal servicesOur unbeatable employee discount programApply now so we can hold a spot for you.
