Our goal is to create an environment where both people and pets feel supported.Position Overview and ScheduleWe are seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join and lead our Specialty Imaging Department as a Coordinator (floor lead). This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, collaboration, and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.Schedule details:Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryEssential Qualities:Patient, enthusiastic and reliableDemonstrate empathy for patients and their familiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to multitask efficientlyThrives in a team atmosphereEssential ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical conditions and procedures commonly utilized, diagnosed or performed within the veterinary industryIntensive treatment and patient care per DVM instructionsPatient care (phlebotomy, IVC placement, medication administration, nursing tasks)Induce, maintain, monitor and recover patients from general anesthesiaMonitor general anesthesia for varying risk classificationsAll technical skills should be at the highest level of competencyAbility to process and run in-house labs and help prepare specimens for outside reference labsAble to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires lifting (up to 50lbs)Required QualificationsCVT license active in Oregon or eligible for transferMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Veterinary TechnicianMinimum 1 year of ER / ICU or Specialty experienceAbility to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases and unpleasant odorsHigh school diploma or GEDPreferred SkillsFamiliarity with Smartflow/EzyvetStrong analytical, critical thinking, judgement and problem-solving skillsWork independently with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with oncology and or ophthalmology practices a bonus!Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate: Starts at $32 an hour DOE + hospital wide $5 shift differential for overnight hoursQuarterly bonus program (profit sharing)Health, dental, and vision insurance (HSA/FSA options)401(k) with employer matchPaid time offTuition assistance and professional development supportGenerous CE allowanceIn-house CE offered twice monthlyEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Generous employee discountsAnd more!How to ApplyLearn more about us at send your resume to:Katie Olsen kolsen@ABOUT LAKEFIELD VETERINARY GROUP We believe exceptional veterinary care starts with exceptional people.
