Sign-On Bonus!Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma - Behavioral Health Center - Lawton, OK 73505Compensation: Based on experiencePOSITION SUMMARY:The Behavioral Health Therapist participates in observing, reporting, and recording of patient behaviors. Responsible for providing high quality patient care, including assessment, psycho-diagnosis, treatment, planning, individual, family and group therapies and discharge planning. Responsibilities also include helping to provide a safe and secure unit environment for all patients and staff in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care. Must be able to read, write and comprehend medical terminology. Must exhibit a professional appearance. Must be at least 21 years of age, dependable and emotionally stable. Responsible for maintaining personal and professional growth and development.SERVICE EXCELLENCE:Participates in the Hospital's Service Excellence Program designed to improve patient care, employee and physician satisfaction. Participation includes knowledge of HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Systems and Providers, which measures patient's perceptions of care received and Core Measure Set, which measures performance of patients', care based on medical research.TASKS:• Maintain accurate, detailed progress reports and recordsMonitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditionsModify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditionsConsult and coordinate with treatment team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient treatment plansApply physical intervention techniques as a last resort to prevent harm to patients and/or staffProvide individual, group and family therapyProvide case management (including attendance at court hearings) and discharge planningComplete psychosocial assessments timelyMaintain safety and structure of the milieuReferral DevelopmentPromotes customer service (Patients, Families, Visitors, Employees, Physicians) Trained to respond to medical emergenciesOther duties as assigned EQUIPMENT LISTING:1.
