JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing Mammography, Bone Density, and X-Ray. Completes assigned responsibilities within his/her certification with little or no direct supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities and quality monitoring for the department.Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:v Graduate of a program for Radiologic Technologist.v ARRT registered in Mammographyv Iowa licensure (Permit to Practice)v Must be registered in at least Mammographyv Familiar with MQSA, Mammography accreditation and software associated with Mammography programsv Previous hospital experience preferred.v Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.v Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.v High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.v Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.v Strong RIS and PACS computer knowledge. (Meditech and Mckesson experience preferred). v Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description.
