Job Summary The Clinical Education Graduate Assistant supports undergraduate nursing students during clinical experiences by providing supervision, instructional guidance, and real-time coaching. This role reinforces faculty teaching by promoting safe, evidence-based practice, strengthening clinical skills and reasoning, and modeling professional communication in healthcare settings. Responsibilities Instructional Support and Supervision - 80% Provide direct supervision and instructional support to undergraduate nursing students during clinical experiences to promote safe, evidence-based practice. Reinforce faculty instruction by guiding students in clinical skill performance, clinical reasoning, and professional communication. Grading/Feedback - 10% Observe student performance and deliver timely, constructive feedback to support learning and competency development. Collaboration - 10% Collaborate with nursing faculty to maintain a safe clinical learning environment and ensure adherence to program and facility policies. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing Other Required Qualifications * Educational and clinical experience in adult health. * Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Georgia required at time of hire. * Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours in a graduate nursing program for every semester that they will receive a tuition waiver/stipend, Part-time and postmaster's students may need to check their programs of study to see if they would be eligible. Required Experience At least one-year of clinical experience Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Medical surgical experience preferred; other specialties will be considered based on identified needs of the School of Nursing. KNOWLEDGE * Knowledge of nursing science and practice. * Knowledge of adult education concepts. SKILLS * Basic foundational skills in specific clinical areas depending on education and experience. * Capable of preforming and training nursing skills according to best practice standards.
