Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technician skilled in cardiac imaging procedures. This travel position offers the chance to contribute to advanced cardiac care within a dynamic hospital setting prioritizing excellence and patient-focused solutions. Responsibilities: Scrub and monitor cardiac catheterization procedures and percutaneous interventions with precision and adherence to protocols Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurse managers, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, nurse practitioners, fellows, and cardiologists to ensure seamless patient care Support patient care for a diverse cardiac patient population, including transplant recipients and those with pulmonary hypertension, within a seven-lab cardiac catheterization unit Utilize advanced technology such as Cerner EMR, Alariso IV pumps, Omnicello medication dispensing systems, McKesson hemodynamic monitors, and GE and Siemens C-arm imaging devices Participate in weekend scheduled cases and be available for on-call emergency coverage following a rotating schedule and prompt response requirements Complete a comprehensive 4-5 day orientation to understand both the facility and unit culture and procedures Qualifications and Experience: Minimum two years of experience as a Cath Lab Technician, with proven competence in scrub and monitor roles during procedures Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; ARRT or RCIS credentials are accepted Valid state licensure as applicable Ability to work within a fast-paced clinical environment, managing multiple patient needs and supporting a high-functioning team Willingness to participate in weekend rotations, night call shifts, and holiday coverage as dictated by unit needs First-time travelers will not be considered for this opportunity Location Description: Situated in Louisville, KY, this role places professionals in a vibrant city rich in culture, culinary delights, and southern charm.
