Job Description

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a well-regarded medical center located in State College, PA, home to Penn State University. This permanent position offers a dynamic role working across multiple critical care environments, including the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), with the added responsibility of contributing to the antibiotic stewardship team. Participate in multi-disciplinary teams and rounds specific to assigned practice areas. Monitor drug therapy and manage consults as per established protocols. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience preferred. Licensed as a Pennsylvania pharmacist or ability to obtain licensure. Experience with Meditech electronic health record system is advantageous. Candidates without an active PA license are encouraged to apply; licensure support will be provided. Schedule: Variable days and afternoon shifts, primarily 8-hour daytime shifts. Benefits: Competitive salary range from $108,000 to $169,000 annually, with a midpoint of $139,000. Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis. Opportunity to live and work in a vibrant college town with excellent quality of life. This position is ideal for pharmacists seeking to enhance their clinical expertise across multiple specialized units while contributing to patient care in a collaborative environment.
