Job Description

A healthcare role is available for a skilled Imaging - Cath Lab Technologist in Tularosa, NM, on a full-time contract basis. The position involves supporting cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing the catheterization lab, operating essential imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation during procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring all major cath lab equipment is operational, participating in daily room checks, stocking supplies, and collaborating closely with the medical team and Cath Lab Lead for seamless patient care and departmental efficiency. The technologist must operate sophisticated imaging systems such as X-Ray, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and intracardiac echo (ICE), maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures, and serve as the radiation safety representative during X-Ray use. Accurate data entry and documentation of hemodynamic measurements and patient information are essential duties. Supporting physicians during procedures and contributing to process improvement initiatives are critical to success in this role. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or associate degree in a related healthcare field; bachelor's degree preferred 0-1 year of acute care experience preferred BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required Preferred certifications include but are not limited to RCIS, RCES, RCS, Radiography (R), CI, CV, VI, RDMS specialties, RDCS, and RVT State licensure in New Mexico required as applicable Commitment to upholding patient safety, infection control, and organizational policies Schedule/Hours: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts On-call every other weekend from Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 5:59 AM Located in Tularosa, NM, this community offers a scenic and peaceful environment in the southern part of the state, known for its friendly atmosphere and proximity to natural attractions.
