Job Description Job Description:Work directly with a Gastroenterology physician in a full-time, outpatient settingProvide 100% outpatient care in a busy clinic environmenSee approximately 20 patients per dayMaintain a Monday-Friday clinic schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM (No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities)Collaborate with a dedicated support team, including a Medical AssistantConduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans in conjunction with the supervising physicianManage patient care for various gastrointestinal conditionsUtilize EPIC EMR system to document patient interactions and manage careMaintain a strong focus on patient care and customer service, striving to provide the best possible outcomes for each patientWork in a high-volume clinic, meeting the needs of a diverse patient populationContribute to team success by actively participating in team meetings and supporting the broader goals of the Gastroenterology department NOT DOING ANY LOCUMS OR LOCUMS TO PERM UCHealth clears names system-wide. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing , or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies - REQUIRED National board certification: NPs: Certified by ANCC or AANPCB / PAs: Certified by NCCPA (PA-C) - REQUIRED Unrestricted license to practice as an NP or PA in the State of Colorado, or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact (for NPs) - REQUIRED Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license to prescribe medications - REQUIRED Full prescriptive authority, in accordance with medical staff privileging - REQUIRED Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges - REQUIRED BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross - REQUIRED Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid - REQUIRED No current or prior sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or the GSA List of Excluded Individuals and Entities - REQUIRED
