An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support a 200+ bed community hospital in Alexandria, LA. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment within a well-established facility. The assignment begins ASAP for a 13-week duration. Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating shifts, which may include 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM-11:00 PM Every other weekend rotation Key Responsibilities: Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Consulting with physicians and nursing staff regarding drug therapies and adjustments Performing pharmacokinetic monitoring and recommendations Utilizing clinical software systems such as EPIC and Pyxis Desired Qualifications: Active and unrestricted pharmacist license Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Proven experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred This position is a contract assignment and offers the chance to enhance clinical expertise in a community hospital setting with a supportive and professional environment.
