Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,740 - $4,430 Location: On-site at a Level III Trauma Center in Virginia Beach, VA (23454) Employment Type: Locum tenens / travel CRNA Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift Schedule: Primarily 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week (8, 10, and 12 hour shifts available based on team needs) Call: Weeknight and/or weekend call coverage required Start Date: April 20, 2026 CRNA Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience required Current and valid CRNA certification (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) Experience providing general anesthesia (adult required; pediatric preferred) Proficiency with spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia techniques Comfort managing obstetrical, neurosurgical (spine), complex vascular (excluding open heart), and complex orthopedic cases Experience with ventilation management and placement of central and/or arterial lines Strong teamwork and communication skills for multidisciplinary care settings Primary Responsibilities Deliver safe, evidence-based anesthesia care in the operating room, cath lab, EP lab, and obstetrical settings Administer spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia and manage perioperative analgesia Provide airway and ventilation management and perform central/arterial line placement as indicated Participate in weeknight and/or weekend call coverage as scheduled Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and perioperative staff to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate, timely anesthesia documentation and adhere to institutional policies and safety protocols This locum tenens anesthesia position is ideal for CRNAs seeking travel CRNA work, locum tenens opportunities, or short-term contracts in Virginia Beach.
