We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Hilo, HI where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements:Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Current Hawaii state respiratory therapist license in good standing prior to start of assignment. Candidate must apply for Hawaii license upon acceptance if not already licensed.One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).BLS certification.Experience with ventilator management and airway support, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support.Experience with computerized charting and medication management systems, such as Pyxis.Familiarity with ventilator models PB 980, PB 840, V60, and ParaPAC transport ventilator preferred.Ability to provide respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients.Proof of influenza vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption required prior to contract start.Preferred: CPR certification and prior experience in an acute hospital environment.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Shift name: Days.Shift pattern: Three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours). Deliver ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support. Consult with physicians, perform CPR, and provide all aspects of respiratory care. Utilize computerized charting and medication management systems as required.
