Job Description Join a dynamic team that is instrumental in managing and optimizing freight movement across international borders, specifically focusing on drayage operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and compliant transportation of goods, with a primary focus on short-distance freight transport. Responsibilities + Oversee the movement of goods across international borders, ensuring compliance and efficiency. + Coordinate short-haul trucking operations, typically from ports or border crossings to fulfillment centers or warehouses. + Serve as the central point for resolving transportation issues involving carriers, vendors, and internal teams. + Ensure load visibility on the app using Excel and various portals. + Manage disruptions on the portal. + Run reports to analyze container movement issues. + Track containers within your designated region. + Provide verbal reports on occurrences within your scope. + Conduct deep dives into container information and delays, presenting findings. + Utilize Excel for tracking containers and data analysis, including pivots and VLOOKUPs. + Communicate effectively via Chime, Slack, email, and bridges. + Manage assigned volumes and book of business independently. + Move containers across the supply chain, tracking data and identifying nuances. Essential Skills + Strong computer literacy skills, particularly with Excel. + Problem-solving capabilities and proactive thinking. + Experience in operations support, logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight, third-party logistics, and vendor management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in account management or vendor management, preferably within logistics. + Customer or account management experience handling customer accounts, if not directly in logistics. + Expertise in MS Access and SQL is a plus. + Experience in manufacturing transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments. + Data management and data quality control experience, with proficiency in pulling and analyzing large data sets. + Demonstrated experience using data for root cause elimination and process improvement. + Self-starter with a passion for data and trend analysis. Work Environment The role requires in-office training from Monday to Friday. Post-training, the position allows for remote work on Tuesdays. Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
