The role reports to the Director.Hazardous Materials (HAZ) OverviewThe HAZ department plays a vital role in helping clients create safer, healthier buildings and workplaces. The HAZ department assesses environmental conditions and collects accurate field data to evaluate air quality, hazardous materials, and building performance. They lead and coordinate site assessments, interpret findings, and provide clear, actionable recommendations that guide client decision making. Working both independently and collaboratively, they uphold strict safety and regulatory standards while ensuring quality documentation. Their expertise directly contributes to protecting occupants, improving workplace conditions, and strengthening community wellbeing-advancing Pinchin's mission to create healthier, more resilient environments.Your Role and Action as Industrial Hygienist - InternConduct various field tasks, including water, asbestos-containing material (ACM) inspections and sampling, AHERA inspections, lead and hazardous materials inspections, and indoor air quality and fungal assessmentsBuilding inspections and material sampling, data collection and evaluation.Asbestos Abatement oversight and air monitoringCoordinate and complete site inspections.Produce organized and detailed site visit notes that will be incorporated into high-quality technical reports.Task management and coordination, client interaction, and data management.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Maintain a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Follow, enforce, and maintain corporate policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned.DisclaimerThis job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at anytime at the sole discretion of Pinchin, LLC.
