Title: Route DriverClassification/Job Grade: DailyLocation: Rockford, ILDepartment: DistributionJob Summary: Prairie Farms Dairy, Rockford, operates as a dairy manufacturing plant and distribution center serving the entire state of Illinois and parts of surrounding states. We make dairy products that are then distributed to retail outlets, warehouses, hospitals, correctional facilities, retirement homes, food service warehouses, schools, and colleges throughout Illinois. We are looking for strong customer service, self-motivated, career-minded individuals to join our Rockford, Illinois, Distribution team. This position will allow you to be home every night!Primary Responsibilities: Load and unload Dairy products for customer deliveryDrive a semi-truck or a straight truck to assigned customers on routePush, pull, or lift product from cases and palletsPerform daily safety checks of the vehicle and maintain a clean environmentWork within safety and regulatory company policiesKeep customers and truck inventory properly rotated and in stock at all timesBuild strong customer relationshipsFollow DOT requirementsFollows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs, and Quality standardsEffectively utilize time available to achieve results through prioritizing demandsMaintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectivelyDemonstrates problem-solving and decision-making ability, as neededMust demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learnOther duties as assigned or requiredMinimum Qualifications: Must have a CDL Class A Must have at least 1 year of driving experience CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CDL Class A Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
