Schedule: 2nd shift is Monday - Friday 3PM to 11 PM Position summary: To place pallets of merchandise from receiving to correct pallet positions while operating a TSP/Hyracker. To pick cartons out of the racks while operating a Chase machine. This role is responsible for accurately selecting merchandise based on store orders and preparing items for shipment. To pull cartons of merchandise out of the reserve locations. Responsibilities: Pick merchandise according to store orders, ensuring accuracy in item location, description, and quantity. Place items on pallets or conveyors using safe lifting techniques. Secure pallets with tape and shrink wrap for transport. Maintain a clean and organized work area by following all safety guidelines. Assist with general housekeeping to keep aisles clear of debris. Participate in training for additional warehouse duties. Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 0–2 years of warehouse or picking experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and count accurately. Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally. Must have experience with high reach or cherry picker equipment (CVS will certify CW’s at start of assignment) Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). WMS and Aptia Knowledge Basic computer skills: Pull empty pallets as needed by production. Retrieve pallets from receiving staging area, using the proper material handling equipment and transport to put-away area. Put-away pallet to the address indicated in system. Put away critical items on a priority basis daily. Pick cartons out of reserve locations from the Chase machine. Drop off pallets in a Chase staging area in the building by zone. Frequent overtime offered, particularly during high volume periods, to ensure that all stores are serviced according to daily schedule. Complete picking for store and replenish in VNA with proper batch tags Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor. Competencies: Physical demands: This position has a lifting requirement of over 75 lbs for 0% to 33% of the time and up to 50 lbs for 34% to 66% of the time. Other physical activities include bending/reaching/stooping 33% to 67% of the time and walking/standing/climbing 67% to 100% of the time. Work environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment, and conveyors. Also possible use of equipment that can reach a height of 30 feet. Never step on or jump over a conveyor line. Never place hands in rollers and/or conveyor. If an issue occurs with a roller or conveyor line, pull the emergency stop cord and contact your supervisor and/or facility services.
