Primary Purpose: Provide targeted literacy instruction and strategic support to students who are performing below grade level in reading. The role focuses on identifying literacy gaps, implementing evidence-based interventions, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teachers and administrators to ensure students make measurable reading growth. Instructional and Program Management: * Work cooperatively with program directors, supervisors, building administration, school staff, and all teachers to develop and implement a comprehensive intervention program in language arts. * Model effective reading strategies and differentiated instructional practices to strengthen Tier 1 instruction and ensure high-quality literacy support for all students, including those receiving special education services. * Collaborate and co-teach with teachers based on Tier 1 data to strengthen core instruction and address identified student learning gaps. * Use current and relevant assessment tools to identify students in need of intervention services. * Attend campus PLC and MTSS meetings to review student data, collaborate with instructional staff, and assist in determining appropriate student learning goals and targeted intervention strategies to ensure measurable academic growth. * Collect and submit all of the information for Campus Special Education Referrals in a timely manner. * Display a complete understanding of the philosophy and models for providing intervention instruction to at-risk students. * Work closely with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with core instruction. * Maintain a resource library of publications, supplementary materials, and supplies relevant to the reading program. * Assist in ensuring teacher-led intervention strategies within the MTSS framework are effective, aligned to student learning goals, and accurately documented to support progress monitoring and data-driven instruction. Support the consistent implementation and overall effectiveness of the campus MTSS program. Other: * Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community. * Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records and other documents required. * Assist the campus in planning and implementing any local or state testing needs * Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. * Must be present regularly in person.
