You'll be:** + Analyzing transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure efficient and economical delivery of products. + Reviewing transportation proposals and making recommendations for rate or regulatory modifications. + Evaluating freight classifications, tariff rates, and operating efficiency to ensure proper product delivery. + Planning and coordinating fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance, service, repair, and disposal of trucks. + Coordinating with and hiring third-party transportation companies and common carriers as needed. + Reporting to the Transportation or Logistics Manager and following established procedures and guidelines. **This job might be an outstanding fit if you:** + Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics, including both domestic and international responsibilities. + Possess knowledge gained through specialized education, training, or hands-on experience in logistics or transportation. + Are comfortable working within well-defined procedures and guidelines. + Have experience with inventory management (preferred, but not required). + Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. **What happens next** Once you apply, you'll proceed to next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
