The Exceptional Student Services (Special Education) Teacher will: Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly. ● Plan and provide specially designed instruction to students receiving special education and related services. ● Collaborate with related service providers and general education staff in the implementation of accommodations and modifications ● Draft and maintain IEPs, Prior Written Notices, and potentially evaluation paperwork, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines ● Plan and facilitate meetings throughout the special education process ● Communicate and collaborate with parents, staff, and administrative staff regarding student planning and progress. ● Manage the transition of new enrollees eligible for special education and related services. Education/Certification: ● Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree ● Valid Arizona certification in Special Education (mild to moderate, cross-categorical, learning disability, or intern/alternative) ● A current Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card 1 year of successful teaching experience (preferably in a K-12 school setting) ●1 year of successful Special Education teaching experience (preferred) ● The ideal candidate has previous experience in Special Education.
