Job Details Position: Locum Tenens Neurology Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care) / Travel NP Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,290 - $3,900 Location: Lima, OH 45801 - Ohio nursing jobs, Lima healthcare, easy access to parks, dining, and cultural events Setting: Hospital - Inpatient Neurology Unit (adult patients) Shift: PRN coverage, 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p) Duration: 13 weeks (July 1, 2026 - September 30, 2026) Patient Population: 100% Adult; average daily patient load: 10-15 EMR: Epic Carepath (Epic experience preferred) Job Requirements / Qualifications Board Certified Nurse Practitioner - Required (Neurology, Acute Care, or relevant specialty preferred) Minimum 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner in acute care, inpatient neurology, or trauma/critical care settings Active Ohio NP License - Highly Preferred (candidates willing to obtain state licensure will be considered) ACLS Certification - Required ENLS Certification - Highly Preferred Current Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of application - Required Experience on code stroke response teams and ability to participate in stroke protocols Ability to interpret radiologic exams (unofficial interpretation expected) Proven documentation and care coordination skills using Epic Carepath or similar EMR Responsibilities / Clinical Duties Provide acute inpatient neurology care for adult patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up Serve as an integral member of the neurology team, collaborating with physicians and APPs (team includes 2 APPs and 3 physicians) Respond to and participate in hospital code stroke activations and acute stroke workflows Interpret radiologic studies (CT, MRI) for clinical decision-making (unofficial reads) Manage an average caseload of 10-15 patients per shift while maintaining high-quality documentation in Epic Coordinate care with onsite lab, radiology, and ancillary services to optimize patient flow and outcomes Why Apply Opportunity to work a locum tenens / travel NP role in a supportive hospital environment Competitive weekly pay for acute care Neurology Nurse Practitioners Great Midwest location - Lima, OH offers an affordable lifestyle and community engagement How to Apply: Apply now to be considered for this travel NP / locum tenens opportunity.
