Locums - Suffolk, Virginia Critical Care Nurse Practitioner Licenses / Certifications (Required) Board Certified NP - REQUIRED Active Virginia license and DEA - REQUIRED BLS/ACLS Certified - REQUIRED Availability Requirements Must be available for dates listed to be considered - REQUIRED Must be able to cover every month - REQUIRED Must have critical care experience - REQUIRED Must be able to cover at least one stint per month (August ongoing shifts TBD) Dates Needed June - Day Shifts: 1, 2, 11, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 29, 30July - Day Shifts: 1, 6, 9, 11, 12, 16-22, 24, 27July - Night Shifts: 24-27August: 13-17, 20-24 - days or nights TBDAugust Ongoing: Specific shifts TBD, will work around locum availability Job Details Reason for Coverage: Coverage while credentialing new providers - ongoing need Practice Setting: Inpatient Average Patients per Day: 13 (range 1-20) Documentation System/EMR: EPIC Patient Age Demographic: Adult APP will be working autonomously Procedures Ability to place central lines (CVLs), hemodialysis catheters, and arterial lines Job Duties / Responsibilities Ventilator management with RT assistance Monitor admitting critical care patients and assist with overnight decompensations Admit new critical care patients from ED, hospital floors, and surrounding hospitals Perform procedures: central lines, arterial lines, dialysis catheters Update families and discuss goals of care for decompensating patients overnight Standard Friday-Tuesday 7p-8a (five 13-hour shifts) Referral Opportunity Generous referral fees available for qualified candidates Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
