Improve rehab spaces that directly impact patient recoveryLead complex renovations in fully occupied care environmentsAbout Our ClientThe client is a leading rehabilitation provider focused on upgrading therapy gyms, patient rooms, mobility-training areas, and support spaces-all while keeping facilities fully operational and patient-centered throughout construction.Job DescriptionLead construction and renovation within occupied rehab units, therapy spaces, and long-term patient areasDevelop multi-phase plans that maintain access to therapy gyms, ADL spaces, and nursing stationsCoordinate closely with rehab leadership to avoid disruptions during high-volume therapy hoursImplement enhanced infection-control protocols (e.g., dust containment, negative air, pathway protection)Manage work around sensitive populations, including patients with mobility challenges or cognitive impairmentsOversee complex MEP upgrades required for rehab equipment, lifts, and therapy technologiesSchedule noise-producing activities around patient rest times and clinical programmingCollaborate with facilities teams to plan utility shutdowns without interrupting essential rehab servicesEnsure full compliance with life-safety codes in environments where patient evacuation can be slowerProvide transparent communication to staff, patients, and families regarding construction impactsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful ApplicantA successful Superintendent should have:Proven experience delivering renovation work in occupied healthcare or rehab settingsDeep understanding of patient-centered construction planning in environments with mobility-restricted or long-stay patientsStrong ability to collaborate with rehab therapists, nursing managers, facility directors, and patient servicesExceptional sensitivity to noise, access, and safety challenges unique to rehabilitation careSkilled in infection-control practices tailored to long-term occupied environmentsDemonstrated capacity to phase work around therapy schedules, group programs, and patient rest periodsCalm, communicative, and flexible-able to adjust plans quickly in response to clinical needsExperienced in managing logistics around active hallways, therapy equipment, and 24/7 patient care operationsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from $130,000 to $165,000 annually.Comprehensive benefits package, including PTO and 401(k) contributions.Opportunity to work with a reputable company in the property industry.Supportive and collaborative work environment with room for career growth.This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to impactful construction projects in New York.
