Get to Know Your Team: * Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. Responsibilities * Identify each patient prior to exam utilizing two patient identifiers according to hospital policy * Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions * Perform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency room * Provide lead protective shield for patients reducing radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable * Accept all assignments as prescribed by the Medical Imaging Coordinator regarding room assignment and work to be completed * Enter data utilizing electronic medical records * Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments * Maintain policies and procedures as they relate to HIPAA compliance * Perform any and all other duties assigned Qualifications Job Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent * NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT. * BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. * Two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technician Pay Range Minimum: $26.80/Hr. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
