Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Transitional Hospital CFO to join our dedicated team of advisors. This role is ideal for an accomplished interim executive or an experienced professional with strong consultative acumen leveraging a deep body of knowledge in finance, accounting, and hospital operations. The successful candidate will be a quantitative leader, adept at utilizing complex data to drive performance improvement and manage significant transitions for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep operational knowledge across varied healthcare environments, including physician practice management, hospitals, health systems, ASCs. Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial & Operational Leadership * · Provide high-level leadership, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of both finance and hospital operations to manage a wide range of challenges and turnaround situations. * · Oversee critical financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance. * · Manage large-scale projects such as system conversions, organizational restructuring, and financial turnarounds. Data Analysis & Performance Improvement * · Utilize body of knowledge to determine how to best leverage client data for meaningful outcomes. * · Lead performance improvement and cost reduction initiatives using data analysis to identify operational efficiencies, supply chain savings, and automation opportunities. * · Analyze statistical data and develop pro formas to support business intelligence, margin performance improvement, and long-range forecasting. * · Oversee revenue cycle activities including charge capture, pricing, and denial management. Stakeholder Engagement & Mentorship * · Forge solid relationships with key stakeholders and build consensus across multiple organizational levels. * · Provide leadership training on budgets and fiscal oversight, sharing extensive experience in the field. * · Act as a resource for clients on best practices in compliance, cost reduction, and strategic business planning. Qualifications & Experience * CPA, MBA, or FHFMA preferred. * We are seeking individuals with extensive, proven experience as a CFO in Acute Care, Critical Access, or large hospital environment, with a track record of successful turnarounds and project management. * Expertise in integrated healthcare system budgeting and financial planning, financial negotiations, cost accounting, cash flow optimization, and risk management. * Experience with enterprise accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Meditech, Cerner) is essential. * Highly adaptable, resourceful, and dedicated to serving clients with a team-oriented approach.
