Job Description

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to support both our Camp and Pre-School programs for children ages 2-5. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young children's growth through creative play, structured activities, and exceptional guest service. A successful candidate will split time between assisting with preschool programming and leading recreational summer camp activities.Duties & Responsibilities: Summer Camp LeadershipSupervise and engage children during summer camp activities such as ice skating, nature adventures, and bowlingCollaborate with the team to plan and lead age-appropriate recreational programmingEnsure all children's physical and emotional needs are met, including personal care supportFoster a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all campersMaintain cleanliness of recreational areas and equipmentServe as a positive role model, encouraging participation and good behaviorPreschool SupportImplement daily lesson plans and maintain classroom schedules in coordination with the lead teacherPrepare materials and equipment for lessons and activitiesSupport each child's intellectual, social, and emotional developmentMaintain clear and positive communication with parents, coworkers, and leadershipAssist students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce concepts or complete assignmentsMaintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organizationEnsure compliance with all applicable school and state regulationsWinter Camp LeadershipSupervise and engage children during winter camp activities such as snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, nature adventures, and bowlingCollaborate with the team to plan and lead age-appropriate recreational programmingEnsure all children's physical and emotional needs are met, including personal care supportFoster a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all campersMaintain cleanliness of recreational areas and equipmentServe as a positive role model, encouraging participation and good behavior Qualifications: Experience working with young children in educational or recreational settingsPassion for early childhood development and outdoor adventureStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to remain calm, positive, and proactive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentMust be physically and emotionally capable of engaging in active play, lifting children, and spending time outdoors in winter conditionsBasic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and split shifts as neededAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionallyPreferred: Current U.S. Driver's License Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
