Position Type: Related Services/School PsychologistDate Posted: 3/11/2026Location: Madeira Elementary SchoolDate Available: 8/1/2026Closing Date: Until FilledDistrict: Madeira City School DistrictMadeira City Schools is looking for a collaborative, high performing, enthusiastic individual to develop and provide a full range of comprehensive school psychological services to students and schools in compliance with local, state and federal legislation. A qualified individual will apply principles of psychology and effective communication in defining problems, planning, implementing and evaluating programs, and providing a continuum of supports consultation at Madeira Elementary School.Essential Job Functions:Conducts comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations of referred children, while maintaining compliance set forth by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and the US Department of Education. Selects assessment methods appropriate to the referral.Evaluate services through input from parents, students, and staff/administration; includes input in the service planning process.Maintains proper documentation and paperwork.Interprets results of evaluation and recommendation to administrators, teachers and parents in practical understandable terms.Contributes to the written report of the evaluation team and contributes to the development of the Individualized Education Program for each suspected disabled child evaluated.Provides consultation services to teachers, parents, and other educational personnel.Works cooperatively with staff members, including assessment team members, teachers, administrators and parents.Maintains standards of confidentiality as required by federal, state and local policy.Demonstrates knowledge of crisis intervention and provides services as needed.Adheres to ethical and professional guidelines defined by professional organizations, such as NASP, OSPA, and/or APA.When requested, demonstrate ability to define need for in-service programs. Design, implement and evaluate in-service programs.Communicate with supervisor and/or other professionals regarding common problems and/or legal and ethical concerns.Accept criticism, advice and recognition; implement activities in response to recommendations or to meet performance improvement goals.Other responsibilities may include:Assisting educational staff in implementing or modifying instructional strategies and follow-up activities.Assisting staff in implementing PBIS and MTSS Frameworks, consulting throughout.Early Entrance testing for kindergarten.Kindergarten screening.Participation in educational research activities.Providing information of new developments in the field of school psychology.Serving as a resource to superintendents and principals. Qualifications:Must be licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and Ohio Board of Psychology.Shall meet requirements of law and be governed by Ohio Law (Criminal background check for State of Ohio and FBI).
