This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. This position is a PACT provider for the Ironwood, MI CBOC. Major Duties: * Demonstrate commitment to high quality customer service, including specific measures identified as performance goals by the Medical Center. * Provide quality patient-centered patient care to both inpatients and outpatients for adults age 18-65 and older adults age 65+ as assigned by ACOS of PC Service or designee. * Demonstrate sound decision-making skills, both clinical and administrative, which bring credit to the profession and serve to enhance the distinctive and contributory role of physicians. * Facilitate the delivery of appropriate patient care in collaboration with other health professionals, medical center staff, and management. * Consistently demonstrate expertise in diagnosing and treating seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients when clinical assignments dictate. * Complete all medical record documentation in CPRS within prescribed timeframes. * Include patient/family/significant other/health care providers in establishing realistic, measurable goals related to health education and treatment plan and in planning care on a continuum; assists staff in the process of mutual goal setting. * Demonstrate skill in implementation of clinical practice guidelines and protocols for patients with complex medical care needs. * Plan implement and evaluate care based on age specific requirements of the patient. * Serve as a role model in assessing and evaluating patient status and identifying priority needs for care. * Document and rate administrative and clinical information in a thorough and accurate manner. * Serve as acting chief of the section (if appropriate), as needed. * Other duties as assigned.
