American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting, performing MRI, X-ray, EKGs, and IV starts.Job Details• Outpatient radiology department located within an acute care hospital,• Unit handles pre-op testing, basic X-ray imaging, MRI, EKGs, and IV starts for modalities requiring bloodwork,• Department has 2 scanners/rooms with an average of 80 studies per day,• Equipment includes a U-arm; PACS system is Synapse,• EMR is Epic,• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM,• No weekend or holiday requirements,• No on-call or standby requirements,• No floating to other areas required,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Minimum 2 years of MRI/Radiology Technologist experience,• Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT certification required,• WV Radiology License required if applicable,• Proficiency with Epic EMR and Synapse PACS,• Ability to perform EKGs and start IVs,• Experience in an acute care or outpatient radiology setting,Additional Information• Perform MRI and X-ray imaging, pre-op testing, EKGs, and IV starts for patients requiring bloodwork prior to modality procedures,• Navy scrubs required; scrubs are not provided,• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position,• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying,• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year before a 2-year break is required,• 2 supervisor and peer references required for consideration, including a supervisor reference from any permanent facility worked within the last 12 months,• A current skills checklist (within the past year), copies of certifications, and a driver's license are required for consideration,• All candidates interview directly with the hiring manager
