More about our team Our Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Unit includes 90 beds-20 dedicated to short-term rehabilitation and 70 to long-term care. Our interdisciplinary team consists of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Medication Aides who work collaboratively to provide high-quality, person-centered care. As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will partner closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to support clinical operations, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and the overall resident experience. This role is essential in maintaining a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the unit. How you'll contribute An Assistant Director of Nursing who excels in this role: * Actively participates in the development and achievement of nursing department goals and objectives * Supports the DON in defining and communicating the mission, vision, and values of the facility * Assists in developing and implementing short- and long-term operational plans * Helps oversee daily clinical operations and ensures alignment with organizational standards * Provides input into budget planning, monitors expenditures, and supports resource allocation * Assists in developing, updating, and implementing policies and procedures * Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements * Supports survey readiness and assists surveyors/inspectors during regulatory visits * Stays current on best practices, clinical standards, and emerging trends in Skilled Nursing and Rehab * Recruits, interviews, and selects qualified nursing staff * Oversees orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training of clinical staff * Manages staffing schedules, approves time off, and ensures adequate coverage * Monitors documentation practices and supports staff in accurate, timely charting * Reviews work for quality, accuracy, and timeliness * Investigates complaints, errors, and operational concerns, implementing corrective actions * Coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff in collaboration with the DON * Promotes positive interdepartmental relationships and effective communication * Coordinates nursing services with physicians, families, community agencies, and ancillary departments * Ensures staff maintain required competencies and clinical skills * Provides direct resident care as needed based on staffing patterns Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
