Position Vacancy Announcement Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applicants for the Coordinator, Research Programs/Services vacancy. Responsibilities This position reports to the two Principal Investigators and manages the overall flow of FAMU CaRE2, NIH National Institute of Health Funded Cancer Health Equity Center to provide efficient and outstanding administrative support to the six core leaders and three research investigators who make up the FAMU CaRE2 team. The person in this position will manage the day-to-day CaRE2 Office functions; Create contracts for all students, postbac, postdocs and graduates hired by the CaRe2 Research Education Core; Manages internal and external communications for the FAMU CaRE2 Office; Meet biweekly with the coordinators performing same tasks with our UF and USC CaRE2 Partners Coordinators via Zoom, at annual NCI Program Steering Committee meetings and AACR research meeting venues. Specific duties include:Management of the FAMU CaRE2 Office duties to ensure prompt, accurate, and excellent customer service experience; Order, organize, and maintain an inventory of office supplies; Assist with all special projects as directed by the two FAMU CaRE2 Principal Investigators; work collaboratively with UF and USC CaRE2 Coordinators; Meet weekly to use team approach to completing assignments or prepare for upcoming NIH/NCI annual progress report meetings onsite at FAMU or at offsites; Order, organize and maintain an inventory of CaRE2 office supplies; Recruit, train and supervise paid student employees or volunteers as needed for the CaRE2 Office; Prepare contracts for all student trainees, post-Baccalaureate students, CaRE2 postdoctoral Fellows, and graduate students; and assist with special projects, meeting planning, annual progress report preparation for Program Steering Committee Meetings, and contribute to the preparation of the annual Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR). Weekly monitor the individual accounts of the six CaRE2 six cores; Master the use of FAMU financials system; Create requisitions for each of the six cores and three research projects; and review and approve all invoice and ensure that all items ordered were received before submission for vendor payment; Assist with reconciling budgets, generating financial queries/report for principal investigators; Prepare and submit requisitions, travel authorizations, and expense reports; and prepare consortium agreements and consultant services agreements. Hold bimonthly working Zoom meetings with the UF and USC CaRE2 Coordinators; Update CaRE2 Communications via email, communication boards; Manage and update CaRE2 website and social media channels; Serve as the communications hub for all FAMU CaRE2 Core Leaders, research investigators, and sub-committees; Prepare and send communications on behalf of the two FAMU CaRE2 MPIs; Assist Principal Investigators and the CaRE2 team with collecting and compiling data for proposal development and submission, i.e. grant contracts and grant submissions, awards, publications and presentation submission received. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience; or master's degree in appropriate area of specialization. Recommended Competencies Advanced knowledge of the creative process and production of concepts using applicable computer software proficient computer functions related to digital media;Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment;Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology;Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing;Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations;Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously;Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related university policies, procedures, principles, and practices; andAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Pay Plan This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.
