The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing, and monitoring diseases and provides general care to women. Essential Duties: * Provides care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postpartum periods. * Diagnoses, treats, and monitors diseases, disorders, and conditions. * Prescribes appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy. * Performs pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams. * Introduces prenatal patients to our Pediatric Department for well-baby care. * Collaborates and consults with other medical and non-medical personnel. * Effectively monitors patients' progress throughout treatment plan and care and provides continuous improvement on patient outcomes. * Educates patients on the importance of treatment plans and communicates side effects and risks of medications prescribed. * Educates patients on disease prevention and reproductive health. * Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills. * Conducts routine check-up appointments and maintains follow-ups throughout patient care. * Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication with patients. * Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed. * Conducts mood and emotional well-being assessments during postpartum appointments. Qualifications: * Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree is required. * Licensed in the State of New York as an OB/GYN. DEA Certification is required. * Prior experience as an OB/GYN is preferred. * Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient-centered leadership and direction. * Must have emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity, and the compassion to work with patients who may be stressed, anxious, or challenging. * Ability to work as a team. * Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. * Must have strong computer skills. * Must demonstrate detailed, effective writing/documentation and verbal skills.
