DescriptionJob Purpose: Join our team as a Psychiatric Medical Assistant and make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients every day. In this specialized role, you will work closely with licensed providers to support high-quality psychiatric care, including innovative treatments such as Spravato and TMS. This is a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant who is passionate about behavioral health, enjoys working in a structured clinical environment, and takes pride in delivering compassionate, attentive, and detail-oriented patient care. What You Will Do: Prepares patient charts for upcoming visits, ensuring all necessary forms are completed, reviewed, and properly integrated into the patient's chart.Welcomes patients, conducts check-in, and escorts them to examination rooms.Performs delegated medical tasks, including recording vitals, medical history, reasons for the visit, and documenting all in the patient's medical record.Provide continuous patient monitoring during psychiatric treatments such as Spravato and TMS, including observing for changes in condition and escalating concerns appropriately.Support providers with psychiatric and medical procedures as delegated.Conducts visual acuity screenings as part of routine physical exams.Administers injections and assists providers with medical procedures.Performs blood draws, collects specimens, conducts urine drug screenings, and communicates results.Maintains cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms between appointments, including stocking necessary supplies and disposing of expired supplies and biohazard waste.Works collaboratively with providers to troubleshoot patient issues.Other duties as assigned. What We Need From You: Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program or a CAAHEP-accredited program required.Associate degree in a health-related field or Medical Assistant certification preferred.Previous Medical Assistant experience required.Previous psychiatric experience required.Experience supporting monitored treatments such as Spravato, TMS, or similar specialty psychiatric services preferred.Must hold valid and current CPR and First Aid certifications and possess or be eligible to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. Denova will assist with obtaining the Fingerprint Clearance Card upon acceptance of an offer.Strong verbal and written communication skills required.Ability to work in a structured, high-responsibility clinical environment with strong attention to detail, time management, and patient observation skills.Proficiency with electronic medical records, billing platforms, insurance carrier portals, and spreadsheets preferred.Bilingual candidates are highly valued, but not required.Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to qualify for this position.Your Work Schedule: Join us onsite for dynamic workdays!Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM onsite.Perks of Being Part of Denova: Comprehensive low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance.
