By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees on topics such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response.Manage environmental permits, waste streams (hazardous and non-hazardous), and ensure proper disposal and record-keeping.Maintain accurate EHS records, prepare reports, and submit required documentation to regulatory agencies.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate safety best practices into production processes and equipment design.Recommended QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.3-5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT).Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs (e.g., LOTO, confined space, hazard communication, waste management).Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.Bonus QualificationsOSHA 30-hour General Industry certificationExperience with EHS management software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera)Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience related to safety process improvementHAZWOPER certification or experience managing hazardous waste programsJob Titles That Should ApplyEnvironmental Health & Safety Specialist, EHS Specialist, Safety Specialist, Health and Safety Specialist, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, EHS Coordinator, Environmental Compliance Specialist, Safety Officer, HSE Specialist, Safety Professional, Environmental Health and Safety CoordinatorWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
