Job specificationCandidate requirementsJob specification Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation. Ensure quality communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to enhance patient care and satisfaction. Coordinate patient teaching, quality and safety initiatives, and the activities of other health team personnel. Maintain professional nursing standards and contribute to the development of unit protocols and policies. Participate in ongoing education, professional development, and mandatory competencies. Candidate requirements Associate Degree in Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN, or AND) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. RN license or eligibility for licensure in Virginia. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting. Proficient in the nursing process, team collaboration, effective communication with patients and staff, and committed to completing required competencies and education.
