Urgent Opportunity for Experienced Retail Pharmacists - Per Diem Positions Available A dynamic retail pharmacy team is expanding to meet increased seasonal demand and is seeking 5-7 skilled per diem pharmacists to provide reliable coverage throughout Northern California. This role is ideal for licensed pharmacists with retail experience who are interested in flexible shifts and building their professional network. Locations with immediate need: Sacramento (2-3 pharmacists) Bay Area/North Bay (2-3 pharmacists) Northern California (Redding, Chico) (1-2 pharmacists) Position Type: Per Diem Schedule: Flexible shifts, typically 1-2 per week on average Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional pharmacy services including dispensing medications, patient counseling, and managing prescriptions Open and close the pharmacy accurately and efficiently Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians during shifts to ensure smooth workflow Utilize pharmacy software systems such as McKesson's Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 (Cardinal Health) to process prescriptions and maintain records Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines Qualifications & Experience: Current pharmacist license in California Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience, including experience opening/closing a pharmacy Proven ability to manage and lead pharmacy technicians Willingness and ability to commute within the assigned regions; mileage reimbursement offered for commutes over 30 miles one-way Strong communication and organizational skills Benefits: Mileage reimbursement available for longer commutes Per diem status offers flexible work hours to supplement existing schedules This opportunity is perfect for pharmacists working part-time who want to expand their hours and gain diverse practice experience in multiple Northern California locations.
