Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Tech to our team to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images.Minimum Requirements:Certified MRI Technologist via ARMRIT or ARRT MRI certification. Candidates with AMRIT will be accepted (preferred: ARRT).BLS certification required.Minimum 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.Experience operating Philips 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners required.Experience with Siemens 1.5T is preferred (Siemens 1.5T expected to be added to the unit).Familiarity with Epic charting system required.Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule as described in assignment notes. Call rotation currently approximately once per month; may change based on staffing.Ability to work in a hospital health system environment, specifically within a main MRI unit.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Health System.Shift name: Evenings.Shift schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM.Orientation: 12 hours required.Call schedule: Week-long call rotation Monday to Monday. Weekday call hours 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Weekend call covers 7:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 AM Monday; if a call-in occurs during the weekend scheduled shift, the on-call technologist covers that shift. Call back frequency: approximately 2-4 times per month.Unit: Main MRI. Candidate should expect work primarily in this unit and be prepared to float within the health system if requested.Location HighlightsHouston, TX offers diverse urban and cultural amenities within a short drive to outdoor and coastal destinations. Houston's theater district is the nation's second-largest performing arts district with multiple venues and a MET replica, located within a 10-20 minute drive of central medical areas.
