Facility: This healthcare facility is a well-established medical center serving the northern Michigan community with comprehensive women's health services. The facility features a 6-bed department with 2 physicians in practice, onsite lab and ultrasound capabilities, and utilizes Meditech EMR system for efficient patient care documentation. Opportunity: Physician - OB/GYN Job Details: • Provide OBGYN call coverage starting in July with ongoing availability • Must be local and available for a minimum of 5 shifts per month • Handle 10 clinic shifts monthly, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (may include surgical days) • Manage 1-2 scheduled patients per day on average • Provide 24-hour call coverage from 7am-7am when needed • Handle both low risk (46 patients due in August) and high risk pregnancies (28% of practice) • Gynecology cases comprise 50% of practice • Manage 1-2 nursery admissions per day on average • Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and cesarean sections • Handle complex cases including breech deliveries, multiple births, and abruptions • Conduct decision-making for c-sections and repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations • Perform gynecological procedures including ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, and cystectomy • Must be Board Certified in OBGYN (no Board Eligible candidates) • Requires active Michigan medical license and participation in MI Medicaid/CHAMPS • ACLS and BLS certification required • COVID vaccination required • Clean background required for expedited credentialing Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.Recruiter InformationRecruiter: Jamie ThomasEmail: jthomas@ Phone: (703) 378-0004 x312
