Your expertise will ensure high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. You will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to accurately capture images that assist in diagnosing medical conditions. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to patient treatment planning and overall healthcare outcomes.Minimum Qualifications:Completion of a two-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.Current certification as an MRI Technologist (e.g., ARRT MRI certification) or eligibility to obtain certification.Ability to obtain ARRT MRI certification within one year of hire (two attempts permitted if not registered at hire).Valid state licensure to practice as an MRI Technologist, where applicable.Demonstrated knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient care standards.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting performing MRI procedures.Familiarity with advanced MRI techniques and software applications for image processing.Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital imaging storage solutions.Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.Responsibilities:Prepare and position patients appropriately for MRI scans, explaining procedures to alleviate concerns and ensure cooperation.Operate MRI scanners to capture high-resolution images according to prescribed protocols and physician instructions.Monitor patients during imaging to ensure safety and comfort, responding promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies.Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.Collaborate with radiologists to review images for quality and assist in identifying any need for additional imaging.Document patient information, imaging procedures, and observations accurately in medical records.Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines related to MRI technology, including managing the magnetic environment and screening for contraindications.Skills:The required skills enable the MRI Technologist to operate complex imaging equipment accurately and safely, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
